Providing The Most Reliable Corrosion Protection Available In Drop Cable

CommScope BrightWire XP brings together two of the most popular features in coaxial drop cable. Combining the superior dry anti-corrosion features of BrightWire® with the innovative XpressPrep technology, BrightWire XP provides double-barreled benefits to customer installations of drop cable by offering lower initial and long-term operational costs.

Since its introduction, CommScope's XpressPrep cable has seen rapid, wide-scale adoption by major cable MSOs. By reducing the number of steps required to prepare a tri-shield cable for connectorization, XpressPrep can significantly reduce the time normally required for cable end preparation and improves system reliability by increasing the chances of proper connectorization.

BrightWire XP and XpressPrep both meet and exceed all applicable SCTE specifications assuring customers a high performing product and full compatibility with industry standard tri-shield connectors.

CommScope makes the most widely-deployed drop cable in the world - F-6 and F-11 series 75 ohm drop cables. These products provide high quality signal transmission, faster and easier installation, and have a record of dependable service quality in virtually every geographic location worldwide.

Innovative BrightWire® anti-corrosive treatment further protects the integrity of the broadband drop plant while lowering operating and installation costs.

CommScope drops are available pre-installed in ConQuest conduit or in versions suitable for direct burial, aerial, indoor and applications where messenger cables are needed. Our high quality drop cable exceeds SCTE specifications to ensure reliable, long-life performance. All CommScope drop cable features a standard bonded tape and rugged jackets that withstand exposure to sunlight, intense temperature, and ground chemicals.

CommScope coaxial cables are specifically engineered for 75 ohm HFC broadband networks in a wide selection of sizes and constructions.  Coax cable choices are determined by the application and performance requirement.

Coax Cable Shielding Options
Shielding is a very important consideration in the selection of the appropriate cable construction for a given network application. To meet the various needs of our customers, CommScope’s coax line features a range of shielding options including standard shield (foil / braid), Tri-Shield (foil/braid/foil) and SuperShield (foil/braid/foil/braid).

Standard Shield - CommScope's basic cable construction of fully bonded foil with a layer of shielding braid offers world class performance within an economical design.

Tri-Shield - Based on CommScope’s standard cable construction of fully bonded foil alternated with a layer of shielding braid, Tri-Shield adds an additional surrounding layer of foil to improve transmission reliability by means of an additional interference barrier.

SuperShield (Quad Shield) – Taking the Tri-Shield construction one step further, this construction adds an additional layer of shielding braid to provide the greatest strength, durability and immunity from network interference.

CommScope offers a full range of cable sizes to meet every application.

Available F-Series Drop Cables:

F-6 Series

The industry standard workhorse, it provides ample attenuation for most drop applications up to 150 feet in length

F-11 Series

Provides low attenuations for service drops greater than 150 feet in length.

F-50 Series

Designed as a Flexible Distribution Cable for long distance drop applications or applications that require high flexibility or low attenuation.

F-59 Series

Ideal and economical approach to short drops and jumpers.

F-59 HEC

A cable in its own class, this high-end,  high-performance Headend Cable (HEC)  will exceed the most intense signal demands.
