Luc Adriaenssens is senior vice president of
technology for CommScope in Richardson, TX.
He is focused on long-range strategic growth plans including technology
focused equity investments and acquisitions. His prior assignment was heading up CommScope’s
Enterprise R&D division driving the R&D of copper, fiber and associated
software solutions. Luc started his career in 1986 as a cable
designer at Bell Labs. He has been
involved with high performance cable & connector design, LAN cabling
standards, cabling system applications, EMC testing, intelligent building
platforms and product management. He is
an expert on cabling performance issues and was instrumental in shaping
Category 5 cable and Category 6/6A cabling requirements. He is
the lead inventor of the multi-stage copper connector compensation method,
delivering unrivalled channel performance. Luc hold BSEE, MSEE and MBA degrees from
Georgia Tech, U.C. Berkeley and Purdue respectively. Patents on which he is the lead inventor have
grossed tens of millions of dollars in royalties.
