Introducing the CommScope All-In-One FLX integrated PON cabinet: The complete, flexible solution

Utilizing an All-In-One (AIO) cabinet, customers eliminate the need for multiple separate active and passive cabinets. Merging Outside Wireless Networkand Fiber Distribution Hub technology, this dense AIO provides an integrated solution specifically designedfor OSP edge of network deployment. ​Built to facilitate 100km backhaul and 20km extended Remote OLT PON customer reach when CO is not present. With both MSO and Telco OLT styled variants (node & shelf OLTs), we've built-in our swing framed fiber distribution hub technology (FDH), and value-added modules such as optical splitters and DWDM devices for simultaneous deployment. Meanwhile, the interior offers ample space for customizable power management, GR-487 compliant cabinet temperature control, battery backup, rectifiers, and more.

MSO All-In-One FLX PON Cabinet
The MSO AIO could support up to 1,536 subscribers via multi-stage split using Hardened Nodes such as the CommScope NH4000/NH4600 VHUB for 10gig EPON usage. Each AIO cabinet can carry 2 Hardened Nodes such as the CommScope VHUB. Each VHUB can support up to 3 PON modules which then provide 2 PON Ports/Servicing Groups each. Next, each PON Port/SG could then support up to a 1x128 split. Thus, 2 (VHUBs) x 3 (PON Modules) x 2 (PON Ports/SGs) x 128 (split) = 1,536 potential 10gig EPON edge of network subscriber support via a variety of FTTH distribution split architectures such as centralized, distributed/cascaded, and TAP.

Telco All-In-One FLX PON Cabinet
Currently in NPI status, the Telco AIO could support up to 8,192 additional edge of network subscribers via multi-stage split using customer configured XGS-PON OLT shelving. Each cabinet can support up to 13RU via 19” or 23” racks for customer specific configuration. Configurations could support customer provided modular shelving which might provide up to 8 slots for OLT cards. Each OLT card could then support 16 PON Ports/Servicing Groups. Next, each PON Port/SG could then support up to a 1x64 split. Thus, 8 (OLT Cards) x 16 (PON Ports/SGs) x 64 (split) = 8,192 potential XGS-PON subscriber edge of network subscriber support. 44 out of a potential 128 PON Ports/SGs could then be accepted for (2xn) split within the AIO FDH sidecar via FDH3000 standard Plug-and-Play (PNP) splitters. Remaining PON Ports/SGs could be patched for multi-stage split.
