CBRS comprises 150 MHz of the 3.5 GHz band (3550 MHz to 3700 MHz), which was historically used by the U.S. government for radar systems. Today, Ruckus also announced that it is the first company to receive FCC certification for its OpenG™ access points bringing CBRS one step closer to commercial deployment. CBRS can be used by network operators and enterprises without having to acquire spectrum licenses. This innovative approach will enable many different uses for LTE networks and speed up deployment time.
"CBRS will be part of our solution offerings to enhance cellular connectivity in the thousands of locations we serve which house hundreds of thousands of people," said
Pavlov Media helps connect multi-dwelling unit communities where connectivity can be challenging due to thousands of devices, large indoor/outdoor coverage areas, and multi-story buildings (including dorms, apartment complexes, etc.). The service provider has built a robust network and is continuously finding new ways to bring its users exceptional connections nationwide. The use of the new CBRS spectrum will help supplement existing Wi-Fi, and enable new wireless uses for in-building cellular, security, safety, automation and analytics, while addressing the need for additional mobile network capacity and bandwidth.
"Putting LTE over the CBRS spectrum can change the future of wireless connectivity and we'll continue working with forward-looking service providers to make this a reality," said
